Dysphagia

We treat a wide range of swallowing disorders in children and adults in our practice. Tongue thrusting often occurs in children (and adults) in connection with sigmatisms. This is easily treatable, but regular practice (also at home) is required to internalise the new swallowing pattern.

After strokes or accidents with neurological consequences, for example, cranial nerves can be damaged and thus trigger dysphagia (swallowing disorder). With the help of special swallowing techniques and aids such as the ‘Novafon’, ‘FOTT drinking cup’, ‘Miniflex massage stick’ and ‘Theraspoon spoon’, the consequences can be alleviated or successfully treated.
