Infos for patients

Requirements

Both private and health insurance patients are treated in our practice.

As a rule, up to 90% of speech therapy services are covered by health insurance. According to the law, there is a co-payment of 10% and a prescription fee of 10 euros.

For members of private insurance companies, we are happy to provide an overview of the costs of our services so that you can find out the exact amount of any co-payment from your insurance company in advance.

Children up to the age of 18 are still exempt from the co-payment.

All children up to the age of 18 are treated without co-payment.

The prescription

A doctor's prescription is required for speech therapy support. You will receive this after a visit to your treating doctor.

The prescription can be issued by any competent doctor. The prescription describes the speech, language or swallowing problem and the requirements for treatment. We will be happy to advise you free of charge on how to order the prescription with the correct details to prevent unnecessary paperwork.

 The procedures

If your doctor recommends speech therapy treatment, come to our practice with the prescription within 14 days so that the prescription remains valid.

The aim is to investigate and diagnose the cause(s) of the communication problem.

The results, as well as the prognosis and possible therapeutic measures, will be discussed with you. The therapy includes exercises, an explanation of the correlations and homework. For treatment to be successful, you should generally practise independently at home for 10 minutes every day. During the therapy sessions, learning principles are developed together to encourage self-learning.
